Dave Hill

Founding Principal

dave@blueskyexecsearch.com

Dave Hill has spent 25 years doing one thing: helping organizations find the leaders that matter most.

Before founding Blue Sky, Dave led executive search practices inside Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Starbucks, and Expedia — partnering directly with senior leadership at each. He also worked alongside the founders of Twitch, Ring, Audible, and Whole Foods during the stages that mattered most, when the right hire would shape everything that followed. He loves working with founders. Always has.

His search work spans CEO and C-suite succession through cross-functional leadership across General Management, Product and Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Professional Services — with domain experience across Consumer and Enterprise Technology, Media and Entertainment, Gaming, Retail, and Healthcare.

Dave also leads Blue Sky Executive Advisory — applying the same process he runs for corporate clients directly on behalf of the executive candidate. He works with senior leaders in transition, giving them access to the perspective that's normally sitting on the other side of the table.

Selene Truong

Principal

selene@blueskyexecsearch.com

Selene Truong has spent over twenty years in recruiting with executive talent as the throughline. Most of her career was spent as a builder inside the companies that other firms can only recruit for from the outside. At nearly every stage, she was a founding member of her team, creating the search infrastructure from the ground up.

At Facebook, she joined pre-IPO and spent nearly a decade working with senior leaders including the company’s first CMO, placing senior talent across Product Management, Product Marketing, and other technical teams. At Cruise, she partnered with the CTO and VPs to build the executive leadership layer across the organization. At Google, she led Director and VP level searches for YouTube’s CTO and Chief Design Officer.

She also led executive hiring for a SaaS unicorn’s first US expansion, partnering directly with the CPTO to build the leadership foundation.

Today, Selene continues to serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, leveraging her experience as a founding builder in high growth, high stakes environments to help them attract, assess, and close the best executive talent for their teams.

Kristin Raiford

Principal

kristin@blueskyexecsearch.com

Kristin Raiford has spent over two decades doing the part of executive search that most people find hardest: identifying rare talent and knowing exactly how to frame a compelling opportunity for someone who isn't looking.

Before joining Blue Sky, Kristin spent nearly fifteen years at Amazon — becoming the go-to recruiting partner for the CFO, placing CFOs at Zappos, Twitch, and Amazon Studios, and hiring the company's first five external women Finance VPs. Most recently, as executive recruiting advisor to the SVP of Amazon Ads, she drove dozens of critical hires as the business scaled from $12B to $68B+ in revenue. Before Amazon, she spent nearly a decade placing leaders across a boutique search firm, a PR agency, and a market research consultancy — with clients like Disney, Nestlé, and Herbalife.

Her search work spans Go-to-Market, Product, Tech, Finance, Business Development, and General Management — with domain experience in Ad Tech, CTV, Media, Gaming, and Marketplaces.

What clients trust Kristin with is their most consequential hires. What candidates trust her with is helping them navigate their next move.

Rachael Holman

Research Principal

rachael@blueskyexecsearch.com

Rachael Holman has spent her career on a premise most search firms don't fully act on: that market intelligence isn't a support function — it's the whole game.

She began in human capital consulting, working on organizational and workforce challenges for public sector clients — a foundation that shaped how she thinks about talent as a systems problem, not just a sourcing one. At Facebook, she built the executive technical research function from the ground up, then led the broader talent intelligence function — producing competitive intelligence, capability assessments, and market insight for CTO- and VP-level stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Data Science, GTM and core business functions.

Since then, she has partnered with high-growth, venture-backed companies and mission-driven organizations in complex, scarce talent markets — where the cost of a misaligned hire is highest and the margin for error is smallest.

What Rachael brings to Blue Sky is the analytical depth to understand your market before a single candidate is contacted — so the search moves faster, sees further, and finds the exact right leader for the long game.

The Collective

After 25 years inside some of the most influential technology companies in the world, Dave founded Blue Sky to deliver the quality of in-house search without the bureaucracy that inevitably comes with it - and built it as a collective, because a small group of deeply experienced recruiters with complementary strengths serves clients better than any one person working alone.
